Early Life

Marina Ann Hantzis, known professionally as Sasha Grey, was born in North Highlands, California, and raised in Sacramento in a working-class family. Her parents divorced before she reached middle school, and she was primarily raised by her mother, who remarried in 2000. Grey attended four different high schools, graduating early at the age of 17. In late 2005, she enrolled at Sacramento City College, studying film, dance, and acting, while working as a waitress to save money for her move to Los Angeles.

Career

Sasha Grey made her debut in the adult film industry shortly after turning 18 in 2006, quickly gaining recognition as a potential star. She was featured in Los Angeles magazine just months after her debut and appeared on various media platforms, including The Tyra Banks Show, where she discussed the realities of working in the sex industry.
