Stefan Raab

Early Life

Stefan Konrad Raab was born in Germany and grew up in Cologne, where he was raised in a family that owned a butcher's shop. He attended the Jesuit boarding school Aloisiuskolleg in Bonn, where he began to develop his talents. Before embarking on his entertainment career, Raab completed an apprenticeship as a butcher and briefly studied law at university, but he dropped out after five semesters to pursue his passion for entertainment.

Career

Raab's career took off in the early 1990s when he became a popular host on the music television channel VIVA, where he led the comedy show "Vivasion" from 1993 to 1998. In 1999, he created the late-night comedy talk show "TV total" on ProSieben, which became a staple of German television until 2015. The show featured a mix of comedy, musical performances, and unique celebrity sports events, including the World Wok Racing Championship and Autoball, a football game played in cars. Raab also produced and hosted the talent show "Schlag den Raab," which showcased his commitment to discovering and supporting new musical talents.
