Tara Lyn Strong, born Tara Lyn Charendoff on February 12, 1973, in Toronto, Ontario, is a Canadian-American actress renowned for her extensive voice work in animation and video games. Growing up in a Jewish family of Russian descent, she was influenced by her grandfather, a cantor, and her grandmother, who ran a catering business. From a young age, Tara showed a passion for performing, participating in her school’s productions and the Toronto Jewish Theater, where she learned Yiddish phonetically to perform for Yiddish-speaking audiences. Her early experiences in the arts laid the foundation for her future career.

Career

Strong's professional journey began at the age of 13 when she played Gracie in a production of "The Music Man" and voiced Hello Kitty in "Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater." She later moved to Los Angeles in 1994, where she became the voice of iconic characters such as Timmy Turner in "The Fairly OddParents," Raven in "Teen Titans," and Twilight Sparkle in "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic." Personal Life

In 2000, Tara married American actor Craig Strong, and they welcomed two sons, Sammy and Aden. The couple co-founded VoiceStarz, an educational platform for aspiring voice actors. However, they separated in 2019, and their divorce was finalized in 2022. Following her divorce, Tara began a relationship with social-media entrepreneur Willie Morris.
