Early Life

Tetiana Mykhailivna Reshetniak, known professionally as Tayanna, was born on September 29, 1984, in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. She grew up in a musical family, with her parents Mikhail and Natalia and three brothers, including Mikhail, who is also known as Misha Marvin. At the age of eight, Tayanna began her musical journey by attending accordion classes, although she left after a year. Her passion for music deepened as she later studied vocals, performing in ensembles and taking individual lessons. A pivotal moment in her early life was performing before Pope John Paul II in 2001, which marked the beginning of her public musical career.

Career

Tayanna's professional career took off in 2008 when she joined the girl group Hot Chocolate. However, her time with the group ended in 2011 due to personal conflicts with the producer, leading to her departure and a significant fee. In 2014, she participated in the fourth season of the Ukrainian version of The Voice, Holos Krainy, where she initially faced rejection but returned the following year to great success, advancing to the superfinal and placing second.

In 2017, Tayanna competed in Vidbir 2017, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, with her song "I Love You," finishing as a runner-up. She released her second album, "Trymai mene," later that year, showcasing her growth as an artist. Her performance of the song "Shkoda" at the M1 Music Awards earned her the Breakthrough of the Year award, solidifying her status in the Ukrainian music scene.

Personal Life

Tayanna's personal life has been intertwined with her career, notably through her relationship with producer Dmytro Klimashenko, which began when she was 18 and lasted until 2011. In 2013, she welcomed her son, Daniel, adding a new dimension to her life as both a mother and an artist. Tayanna continues to evolve in her music career while balancing her responsibilities as a parent.
