Early Life

Born Evangelos Theodorou in Nicosia, Cyprus, Theo Evan is a Greek-Cypriot singer-songwriter, dancer, and actor who began his artistic journey at a young age. He participated in school choirs and dance activities, showcasing his talents early on. By the age of seven, he was already singing and dancing, and during his teenage years, he began writing his own songs. His passion for performance led him to participate in various theater productions and talent shows across Cyprus, where he earned numerous awards and distinctions.

Education and Career Development

After graduating from The English School in Nicosia, Evan pursued his dreams in the United States, enrolling at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. He graduated with honors and has since returned to the college as an honorary guest at graduation ceremonies alongside notable artists like Missy Elliott and John Legend. In 2021, he released his debut single "The Wall," marking the beginning of his professional music career. He also made a cameo appearance in the popular television series Euphoria.

Eurovision and Artistic Style

In September 2024, it was announced that Theo Evan would represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, making history as the first Cypriot-born artist to do so since 2017. His performance in the first semifinal on May 13, 2025, saw him narrowly miss qualifying for the grand final, placing 11th with 44 points. Evan's music is characterized by a blend of Mediterranean pop with dark, gritty tones, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artists including Stromae and Michael Jackson. His unique style reflects a contemporary pop fusion that resonates with a wide audience.
