Tulia

Formation

Tulia is a Polish folk music group that was formed in 2017 in Szczecin, Poland. The band consists of three talented singers: Dominika Siepka, Patrycja Nowicka, and Tulia Biczak, the latter of whom inspired the band's name. They first gained significant attention in the same year after releasing a captivating cover of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence" on YouTube, which marked the beginning of their musical journey.

Breakthrough and Releases

Following their initial success, Tulia officially came together in November 2017. They quickly made waves in the music scene, releasing an official music video for their cover of "Enjoy the Silence" in February 2018, which garnered over 11 million views. Their debut album, titled "Tulia," was released on May 25, 2018, under Universal Music Poland. The album featured a mix of original songs and covers, achieving platinum status in Poland with over 30,000 copies sold. The band showcased their talent at the 55th Krajowy Festiwal Piosenki Polskiej w Opolu, where they won multiple awards, including the judges' prize and the public's prize.

Legacy

In November 2018, they released a deluxe edition of their debut album, adding new original songs to their repertoire. Their contributions to the music industry were recognized when they received the Fryderyk award in 2019 for New Face of Fonography, solidifying their place in the Polish music landscape. Tulia continues to blend traditional folk elements with modern influences, making them a unique presence in the contemporary music scene.
