Early Life

Alvin Nathaniel Joiner, better known as Xzibit, was born on September 18, 1974, in the United States. He spent his early years in Detroit, Michigan, before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico, after his mother's death. Xzibit faced significant challenges during his youth, including trouble in school that led to him being expelled from multiple institutions. In an effort to redirect his life, he moved to Los Angeles in his late teens, where he began to pursue a career in music.

Career

Xzibit's musical journey began in 1992 when he started rapping under the name "Exhibit A." His first professional appearance was in 1995 on The Alkaholiks' album. He signed with Loud Records and released his debut album, "At the Speed of Life," in 1996, which included the hit single "Paparazzi." His subsequent albums, including "40 Dayz & 40 Nightz" and "Restless," solidified his reputation in the hip-hop community. Known for his distinctive style, Xzibit has explored various genres, including West Coast hip-hop, gangsta rap, and hardcore hip-hop.

Personal Life

Xzibit has faced personal challenges, including financial difficulties that led him to file for bankruptcy twice. He was married to Krista, with whom he had two children, including a son who tragically passed away shortly after birth. His song "The Foundation" is dedicated to his son from a previous relationship, Tremayne, who is also a rapper. Xzibit is known for his love of cars and participated in the Gumball 3000 rally, where he faced a humorous incident with Dutch police regarding his driving speed.
