Early Life

Zoë Straub, known professionally as Zoë, was born on December 1, 1996, in Vienna, Austria, to musician parents Christof and Roumina Straub. Her musical journey began at a young age; at just six years old, she featured in a song by her parents' project, Papermoon, titled "Doop Doop (Baby Remix)". Zoë attended the Lycée Français de Vienne, where she studied for nine years and participated in the Austrian reality singing competition Kiddy Contest in 2007, showcasing her talent with a cover of "Engel ohne Flügel".

Career Milestones

Zoë's career took off in 2015 when she appeared on the ORF television series Vorstadtweiber. She competed in the Austrian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with her self-written song "Quel filou", finishing in third place. The following year, she won the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with her song "Loin d'ici", representing Austria and placing thirteenth in the grand final. Her debut album, aptly titled "Debut", was released in October 2015, marking a significant milestone in her career. Over the years, she has released several singles, including "My Heart Still Beats" and "C'est la vie", and has continued to develop her unique pop music style.

Personal Life

Zoë resides in Vienna with her husband, Kaspar Leuhusen, whom she married on August 3, 2022. The couple welcomed their son, Viktor, on February 4, 2020. Zoë enjoys watching the television series Close Up, which highlights the lives of various celebrities, and she draws inspiration from notable figures in music and film, including Mika and Avril Lavigne. Her artistic journey reflects a blend of personal experiences and professional growth, making her a distinctive voice in the Austrian music scene.
