Early Life

Anthony Frank Iommi Jr., known as Tony Iommi, was born on February 19, 1948, in Birmingham, England, to Italian immigrant parents. He attended Birchfield Road School, where he met future bandmate Ozzy Osbourne. A defining moment in his youth occurred when he fell and cut his lip, earning him the nickname "Scarface."
