Early Life

Karolina Gočeva was born on April 28, 1980, in Bitola, then part of the Socialist Republic of Macedonia. She grew up in a family with a strong educational background; her father was an anesthesiologist and her mother a technologist. Karolina showed an early interest in music, performing in a child choir during her primary school years. She later attended the Josip Broz-Tito high school and pursued studies in English at the Blaže Koneski Faculty of Philology in Skopje.

Career

Karolina's music career began at the tender age of nine when she performed Madonna's "Like a Prayer". By ten, she gained recognition at the children's festival "Si-Do" in Bitola, and her first major success came with the song "Mamo, pušti me" at the annual festival "Makfest 91". In 1992, she released her debut children's album, marking the start of her professional journey. Over the years, she has released numerous albums, including notable titles like "Мамо пушти ме" and "Јас имам песна". Her music primarily falls within the pop genre, but she has also explored Macedonian ethno music, blending various styles to create a unique sound.

Personal Life

Despite her fame, Karolina has kept her personal life relatively private. She married Macedonian artist Mihail Korubin in September 2017, after a two-year relationship. Known for her distinctive fashion sense, she collaborates with stylist Caci Pakovska. Karolina enjoys traveling and maintains an active lifestyle through jogging and exercise. Her commitment to her craft and her ability to navigate the complexities of fame have solidified her status as one of Macedonia's most beloved pop singers.
