Early Life

Abraham Mateo Chamorro was born on August 25, 1998, in San Fernando, Cádiz, into a musical family. His maternal grandfather was a church choir tenor, while his paternal grandfather was a flamenco singer, and his mother sang traditional Spanish music. From the age of three, Abraham began singing, inspired by the performances of Operación Triunfo, and received early vocal training from his mother. By the age of seven, he participated in the children's music festival Veo Veo, winning the National Revelation Award two years later. His television debut came at nine on the Andalusian program Menuda Noche, where he performed for over four years alongside renowned artists.

Music Career

In 2009, at just ten years old, Mateo signed with EMI Music Spain and released his self-titled debut album, which included original ballads and Spanish-language covers. His career took off in 2012 when he signed with Sony Music Spain, releasing his second album, AM, which featured the hit single "Señorita." This song became a massive success, topping charts across Europe and Latin America. Mateo's third album, Who I AM, further solidified his status as a teen idol, blending pop, ballads, and R&B. He toured extensively in Latin America and opened for One Direction during their tour in Spain and Latin America.
