Alex Sparrow

Early Life

Alexey Vladimirovich Vorobyov, known as Alex Sparrow, was born on January 19, 1988, in Tula, Russia. Growing up in a family where his father was the Head of Security and his mother a housewife, Alex initially pursued a career in sports, playing football for a local youth team. However, his passion for music soon took precedence, leading him to study the accordion at the College of Music, where he participated in numerous competitions.

Music Career

Vorobyov's music career began to flourish after he graduated from music school, where he also studied vocals. He gained recognition in 2005 by winning a gold medal for his solo performance at the Delphic Games IV. In 2006, he signed a contract with Universal Music Russia and performed at significant events, including the "Big Eight" in St. Petersburg. His participation in the Eurovision Song Contest began in 2008, and he eventually represented Russia in 2011 with the song "Get You," finishing 16th overall. After a serious car accident in 2013, he made a remarkable comeback, writing and composing his own music.

Acting Career

In addition to his music, Vorobyov has made a name for himself in acting. His career took off in 2006 with a role in "Alice's Dream," and he later graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School. He gained further fame by participating in reality shows, including "Cruel Intentions," where he finished as a finalist. In 2019, he was cast in the Netflix comedy series "Space Force," showcasing his versatility as an entertainer.

Personal Life

Vorobyov's personal life has seen its share of ups and downs, including a high-profile relationship with pop star Victoria Dayneko. After a life-threatening car crash in 2013, he underwent a long recovery process but returned to his artistic pursuits. In April 2025, he married Aida Garifullina, marking a new chapter in his life.
