Early Life

Alexandra Ioana Stan was born on June 10, 1989, in Constanța, Romania, to Daniela and George Stan. Growing up in the Faleză Nord neighborhood, she faced significant challenges, including her father's absence due to work and the family's financial struggles, which led them to move to Valu lui Traian. Despite these hardships, Stan showed an early interest in music, participating in various contests and making her public singing debut at the age of 15. Her passion for music ultimately led her to drop out of the Faculty of Management Andrei Șaguna to pursue a career in the industry.

Career Breakthrough

Stan's career took off in 2009 when she was discovered by producers Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi at a karaoke bar. They signed her to Maan Records, and her debut single "Lollipop" gained moderate fame in Romania. However, it was her 2010 hit "Mr. Saxobeat" that catapulted her to international stardom. The song's success was followed by her debut album, "Saxobeats," released in 2011, which included popular tracks like "Get Back (ASAP)" and "Lemonade." Over the years, Stan has released several albums, including "Unlocked," "ALESTA," and "MAMI," showcasing her evolution as an artist and her diverse musical influences.

Stan is known for her provocative public persona and has often been in the media spotlight for her bold appearances. She has openly discussed her bisexuality and experiences with relationships, including a brief romance with Romanian actor Dorian Popa. Despite facing health challenges, including being born with one kidney and vocal cord issues, Stan has maintained a successful career in music.
