Alyson Renae Michalka, known as Aly Michalka, was born on March 25, 1989, in Torrance, California. She grew up in Seattle, Washington, and Southern California alongside her younger sister, Amanda Joy "AJ" Michalka, who is also an actress and musician. Aly's father, Mark, owns a contracting company, while her mother, Carrie, is a musician who performed with the Christian rock band "JC Band." Raised in a Christian household, Aly began playing the piano at the age of five and picked up the guitar at thirteen. Her acting career started early, as she participated in church play productions from a young age.

Career

Aly Michalka rose to fame with her role as Keely Teslow in the Disney Channel sitcom "Phil of the Future," which aired from 2004 to 2006. She starred in various Disney Channel projects, including the original movie "Now You See It..." and the TV movie "Cow Belles" alongside her sister. In 2009, she co-starred in the film "Bandslam," which showcased her musical talents.
