Lee discovered her passion for music at a young age, inspired by classical composers like Mozart and Beethoven, and began playing the piano at six. Her early exposure to music and film scores shaped her artistic vision, ultimately leading her to co-found the rock band Evanescence at just 13 years old.

Career

Evanescence, formed in 1994, emerged from Lee's desire to blend various musical genres, combining elements of classical, metal, and rock. The band gained traction with their early EPs and was signed by Wind-Up Records in 2001. Their debut album, "Fallen," released in 2003, catapulted them to fame, showcasing Lee's powerful vocals and emotive songwriting. Over the years, she has released several albums, including the children's album "Dream Too Much" and the soundtrack for the film "War Story." Personal Life

She married therapist Josh Hartzler in 2007, and they welcomed a son in 2014.
