Anthony Kiedis was born on November 1, 1962, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Margaret "Peggy" Nobel and actor John Michael Kiedis, known as Blackie Dammett. His parents divorced when he was just three years old, and he was raised by his mother. At the age of 12, he moved to Hollywood permanently, where he was exposed to a world of drugs and music, often using marijuana and cocaine with his father.
