Early Life

Ashley Michelle Tisdale was born on July 2, 1985, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, to Lisa Morris and contractor Michael Tisdale. Raised in a mixed-religion household, she grew up with influences from both Christianity and Judaism. Tisdale's passion for performing began at a young age; by the age of three, she had met her manager and started auditioning for commercials, eventually appearing in over 100 national advertisements. Her early theatrical experiences included roles in productions like "Les Misérables" and "Annie," which set the stage for her future in entertainment.

Career

Tisdale gained widespread recognition for her role as Maddie Fitzpatrick in the Disney Channel sitcom "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" from 2005 to 2008. However, it was her portrayal of Sharpay Evans in the "High School Musical" series (2006-2011) that catapulted her to fame. Following this success, she signed with Warner Bros. Records and released her debut album, "Headstrong," in 2007, which achieved gold certification. Tisdale's music career continued with albums like "Guilty Pleasure" and "Symptoms," showcasing her versatility in pop, dance-pop, and teen pop genres. Personal Life

In 2013, Tisdale became engaged to singer Christopher French, and they married on September 8, 2014, in a private ceremony in Santa Barbara, California. Although she initially kept her professional name as Tisdale, she announced in 2025 that she would be using the name French publicly, reflecting her personal evolution while maintaining her established identity in the entertainment industry.
