Formation

Blue, the iconic English boy band, was formed in May 2000 when Lee Ryan, Antony Costa, and Duncan James came together with the help of their manager, Daniel Glatman. Initially, Ryan and Costa met during auditions for a different boy band, but it was their shared passion for music that led them to create their own group. They later invited Simon Webbe, Ryan's flatmate, to complete the lineup, solidifying the quartet that would go on to achieve significant success.

Breakthrough

The band's debut single, "All Rise," was released in May 2001, quickly climbing to number four on the UK Singles Chart. Their follow-up single, "Too Close," released in August 2001, reached the top spot, marking the beginning of their rise to fame. Over the next few years, Blue released several successful albums, including "One Love" and "Guilty," solidifying their place in the pop music scene. However, after a successful run, the group announced a hiatus in late 2004.

Reunion and Legacy

In 2011, Blue represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest with their song "I Can," finishing in 11th place. The group reunited in 2013 for "The Big Reunion," a show that brought back several popular bands from the past. They announced their first headlining tour in nearly a decade, showcasing their enduring popularity. With a discography that includes multiple albums and hit singles, Blue remains a beloved name in British pop music, known for their harmonies and catchy tunes.
