Cascada

Formation

Cascada is a German Eurodance music group formed in 2004 by singer Natalie Horler and producers DJ Manian and DJ Yanou. The trio initially released music under the name Cascade but changed it to Cascada to avoid legal issues with another artist named Kaskade. They began their journey in the music industry with various side projects before focusing on Cascada, which quickly gained traction in the dance music scene.

Breakthrough

Cascada's breakthrough came with the release of their hit single "Miracle" in 2004, which was produced under Andorfine Records. The song's success led to a contract with Robbins Entertainment, and they followed up with the iconic track "Everytime We Touch". This single, which interpolates a 1992 song by Maggie Reilly, catapulted them to international fame, earning platinum and gold certifications worldwide. Their debut album, also titled "Everytime We Touch", was released shortly after and included several successful singles, solidifying their place in the Eurodance genre.

Legacy

Over the years, Cascada has released numerous albums, including "Perfect Day", "Evacuate the Dancefloor", and "Original Me", showcasing their evolution in sound and style. The group has become a staple in the electronic dance music scene, known for their catchy melodies and energetic performances. Despite lineup changes, with DJ Manian and Yanou both departing in 2021, Natalie Horler continues to represent the group, ensuring that Cascada remains a beloved name in dance music.
