Natalie Horler

Early Life

Natalie Horler was born in 1981 in Bonn, West Germany, to English parents. Her father, David Horler, is a jazz trombonist who moved to Germany to pursue his music career, while her mother, Christine, is a foreign language teacher. Growing up with her two siblings, Sally and Victoria, as well as a half-brother and half-sister, Horler was immersed in a musical environment, with her uncle being the English jazz pianist John Horler.

Musical Career

Horler's musical journey began at the age of 14 when she took singing lessons and started performing at cocktail bars in Bonn. By 17, she secured her first studio gig, and at 18, she began collaborating with various DJs, leading to the formation of the Eurodance group Cascada in 2002 with DJ Manian and Yanou. Their debut album, "Everytime We Touch," released in 2006, featured the hit single of the same name, which peaked at No. 10 on the US Hot 100 and topped charts in several countries. The album's success earned them the title of World's Best Selling German Artist at the 2007 World Music Awards.

In addition to her music career, Horler has made notable television appearances, including hosting the viewer request show "Back @ Ya" on bpm:tv and performing on various shows across Europe. She also served as a judge on the ninth season of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" in 2012.

Personal Life

Natalie Horler married banker Moritz Raffelberg on May 11, 2011, in a private ceremony in Italy, where she wore a dress of her own design. The couple welcomed their daughter on September 21, 2015. In 2011, she also graced the cover of the German edition of Playboy magazine, showcasing her multifaceted career beyond music.
