Early Life

Ciara Princess Harris was born on October 25, 1985, in Fort Hood, Texas, as the only child of Jackie and Carlton Clay Harris. Growing up as an army brat, she moved frequently, living in various states including Georgia, New York, and California. Eventually, her family settled in College Park, Georgia, where she attended North Clayton High School and later graduated from Riverdale High School. During her teenage years, Ciara formed an all-girl group called Hearsay, which recorded demos but eventually disbanded. Despite this setback, she secured a publishing deal as a songwriter, marking the beginning of her music career.

Career

Ciara's breakthrough came in the early 2000s when she was discovered by producer Jazze Pha. After signing with LaFace Records, she released her debut album, "Goodies," on September 28, 2004.
