Dianna Elise Agron was born on April 30, 1986, in Savannah, Georgia, to Mary, a seamstress, and Ronald S. Agron, a Hyatt hotel general manager. Raised in a Jewish family with Ukrainian-Jewish roots, she grew up in various hotels due to her father's career, which instilled in her a unique perspective on life. Agron was influenced by the music of the 1960s and 1970s, as her mother preferred classic musicals over contemporary films, shaping her artistic aspirations. She began dancing at the age of three and developed a passion for storytelling through her experiences in the "fishbowl environment" of hotels.

Career

Agron moved to Los Angeles in 2005, where she initially sought opportunities in musicals. She gained early recognition through television roles in series like "Shark" and "CSI: NY" before achieving fame as Quinn Fabray in the hit musical comedy series "Glee" from 2009 to 2015. Her musical talents span genres including pop, jazz, and lounge music, and she plays instruments such as the voice, guitar, and autoharp. Agron has also ventured into activism, supporting LGBT+ rights and various charitable organizations, including UNICEF and the Trevor Project.
