Early Life

Eimear Mary Rose Quinn was born in Dublin, Ireland, where her musical journey began at a remarkably young age. She joined her first choir at just four years old, showcasing her early passion for music. By the age of fifteen, she was receiving formal vocal training under the guidance of Jody Beggan. Quinn pursued her love for music academically, graduating with a degree in Music from the National University of Ireland Maynooth. During her studies, she developed a keen interest in early music and became a founding member of the ensemble Zefiro.

Career

Quinn's professional career took off when she joined the renowned choir Anúna in 1995. With Anúna, she recorded two albums, "Omnis" and "Deep Dead Blue," and toured internationally, performing in countries such as Spain, France, and the UK. Her big break came when she was invited to perform the song "The Voice" at the Irish Eurosong competition, which she won, leading her to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996. Her stunning performance secured her the first prize, catapulting her into the international spotlight. Following her Eurovision success, Quinn embarked on a solo career, performing in prestigious venues like The Royal Albert Hall and the Sydney State Theatre. She has released several albums, including "Through the Lens of a Tear" and "Gatherings," showcasing her evolution as an artist.

Eimear Quinn is married to Noel Curran, a prominent radio and television producer, and they have two daughters together. The family divides their time between Ireland and Switzerland, balancing their personal and professional lives. Quinn continues to be an influential figure in the music industry, known for her captivating voice and artistic contributions.
