Eva Rivas

Early Life

Eva Rivas, born Valeria Alexandrovna Reshetnikova-Tsatouryan, hails from Rostov-on-Don, where she was raised in a multicultural family with an Armenian mother and a father of Russian and Greek descent. Her stage name, Eva Rivas, is derived from her Greek great-grandmother. From a young age, she showcased her musical talent by singing in the Armenian "Arevik" ensemble, which laid the foundation for her future career in music.

Career

Rivas's career took a significant turn when she won the Armenian National Final on February 14, 2010, allowing her to represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with her song "Apricot Stone." Her performance was well-received, as she placed seventh in the final with a total of 141 points after advancing from the semi-final. To promote her entry, Rivas traveled to various European countries, enhancing her visibility and connection with international audiences. In 2014, she further established her presence in the Armenian music scene by serving as a judge on the third season of The Voice of Armenia, showcasing her expertise and influence in the industry.
