Frankie Valli, born Francesco Castelluccio on May 3, 1934, in Newark, New Jersey, is the eldest of three sons in an Italian-American family. His father, Antonio Castelluccio, was a barber and display designer, while his mother, Donata Maria Rinaldi, was a homemaker. Valli's passion for music ignited at the age of seven after seeing Frank Sinatra perform, leading him to pursue a singing career. He adopted the stage name "Valli" from a female singer, Texas Jean Valli, and worked as a barber until he could support himself through music.
