Early Life

Hayden Lesley Panettiere was born on August 21, 1989, in Palisades, New York. She is the daughter of Lesley R. Vogel, a former soap opera actress, and Alan Lee Panettiere, a captain in the New York City Fire Department. Of Italian, German, and English descent, Hayden was raised in a creative environment that fostered her early interest in performing. She began her career in the entertainment industry at a remarkably young age, appearing in commercials as early as eleven months old. To accommodate her burgeoning acting career, she was homeschooled from grade nine onward.

Career

Panettiere's acting career took off with her role as Sarah Roberts on the ABC soap opera "One Life to Live" from 1994 to 1997, followed by a notable performance as Lizzie Spaulding on "Guiding Light." Her portrayal of Lizzie, who battled leukemia, earned her recognition from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. However, it was her role as Claire Bennet in the NBC series "Heroes" that catapulted her to fame, making her a beloved figure in pop culture. In addition to acting, she showcased her musical talents in the ABC/CMT musical drama series "Nashville," where she released several singles, including "Telescope" and "Love Like Mine."
