John Adam Belushi was born on January 24, 1949, in Humboldt Park, Chicago, to Albanian immigrant parents, Agnes and Adam Anastos Belushi. He grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, alongside his three siblings, and was raised in the Eastern Orthodox Christian faith. Belushi attended Wheaton Central High School, where he formed a band called the Ravens with fellow students, playing drums and singing vocals.
