Kristína Peláková, known professionally as Kristína, is a prominent Slovak singer born on August 20, 1987. She has made a significant impact on the music scene in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, where she is celebrated as one of the most popular female artists. Her musical journey began with her training in piano and voice, which laid the foundation for her successful career in pop music.

Career

Kristína gained widespread recognition when she represented Slovakia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with her hit song "Horehronie." The song, which tells the story of a heartbroken girl finding solace in nature, resonated with audiences and peaked at number one on the Slovak airplay chart. Despite her popularity, she finished 16th in the semi-final of the contest, but the music video for "Horehronie" remains one of the most viewed on the Eurovision YouTube channel.
