Early Life

Anna Charlotte "Lotta" Engberg was born in Överkalix, Sweden, and raised in Laxå, Örebro County. Her passion for music emerged early, leading her to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Under her maiden name, Lotta Pedersen, she made her debut in 1980 at the age of 17 on the Sveriges Television program Nygammalt. This marked the beginning of her journey in the music world, where she also became a member of the a cappella choir Trioala.
