Netta gained national recognition after winning the fifth season of "HaKokhav HaBa," Israel's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, in 2018. Her audition featured a performance of Rihanna's "Rude Boy," which earned her a spot in the competition. Throughout the contest, she showcased her versatility by performing songs like "Hey Mama" and a mashup of "Gangnam Style" and "Tik Tok." Ultimately, she won the competition with her original song "Toy," which was released on March 11, 2018. On May 12, 2018, Netta represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest held in Lisbon, where she won first prize, marking Israel's fourth victory in the competition.
