Pasha Parfeni

Early Life

Pasha Parfeni, born Pavel Parfeni in 1986 in Orhei, Moldova, was immersed in music from an early age. His mother, a piano teacher, and his father, a singer and guitarist, nurtured his musical talents. Parfeni began studying piano as a child and later enrolled at Tiraspol Music College in 2002, where he honed his vocal skills. He continued his education at the State Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, further developing his artistry.

Musical Career

In 2008, Pasha joined the Moldovan band SunStroke Project, where he quickly made a name for himself as the lead vocalist. The band gained recognition in 2009 when they placed third in Moldova's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "No Crime," which Parfeni wrote. After leaving the band later that year to pursue a solo career, he achieved significant success in various music competitions, including winning the George Grigoriu International Pop Music Festival in 2009.

Parfeni represented Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest twice, first in 2012 with the song "Lăutar," where he placed 11th, and again in 2023 with "Soarele și luna," finishing 18th. His participation in these contests has solidified his status as a prominent figure in Moldovan pop music, showcasing his talents as both a singer and songwriter.
