Early Life

Ryan Thomas Gosling was born on November 12, 1980, in London, Ontario, Canada. He grew up in a family of mixed heritage, including French Canadian, German, English, Scottish, and Irish roots. His upbringing was influenced by his family's membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which shaped many aspects of his early life. Gosling's childhood was marked by frequent relocations due to his father's job as a traveling salesman, and he faced challenges such as bullying and difficulties in reading, leading to a year of homeschooling. Despite these challenges, he found inspiration in film and acting from a young age, particularly after watching "Dick Tracy."

Career

Gosling's career began in the 1990s when he became a Mouseketeer on "The All New Mickey Mouse Club," where he worked alongside future stars like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. After transitioning to film, he gained recognition for his roles in independent films. In 2000, he ventured into music, releasing a solo album titled "Angel With Tatooed Wings." He later formed the indie rock band Dead Man's Bones with Zach Shields, releasing their self-titled debut album in 2009, which showcased Gosling's talents as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.
