Formation

Seventeen is a South Korean boy group formed by Pledis Entertainment on May 26, 2015. The group consists of thirteen members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. Known for their self-producing capabilities, the members are heavily involved in songwriting, music production, and choreography, which sets them apart in the K-pop industry.

The group made their official debut with the extended play (EP) "17 Carat" shortly after their formation, which became the longest-charting K-pop album in the US for 2015.
