Early Life

Nayvadius DeMun Cash, known professionally as Future, was born on November 20, 1983, in Atlanta, Georgia. Raised by his mother, Stephanie Jester, he attended Columbia High School in Decatur. At the age of 16, Future experienced a life-altering event when he was shot in the hand and robbed, which he considers a significant turning point in his life.

Career

Future began his music career under the name "Meathead" as part of the Dungeon Family collective, where he was encouraged by his cousin Rico Wade to pursue rapping. He initially performed in a smaller group called Da Connect, where he was nicknamed "The Future". His first solo record, "Belly of da Beast", was featured on a shelved album by Da Connect. Future's breakthrough came when he was discovered by fellow Atlanta rapper Rocko, leading to a solo career that would see him release numerous successful albums, including "Pluto", "DS2", and "HNDRXX". He is known for his unique style that blends trap music with Auto-Tuned vocals, which has significantly influenced the genre.

Personal Life

Future is the father of seven children with different women, including a son with singer Ciara. His personal life has been marked by legal disputes regarding child support and paternity claims. Despite his challenges, Future remains a prominent figure in the music industry, recognized for his contributions to contemporary hip-hop and his innovative use of Auto-Tune in music.
