Early Life

Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, known professionally as Kid Cudi, was born on January 30, 1984, in Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up in Shaker Heights and Solon, he faced significant challenges, including the death of his father from cancer when he was just 11 years old. This loss deeply influenced his personality and music. Cudi attended Shaker Heights High School before transferring to Solon High School, where he was expelled for threatening a principal. He later earned his GED and briefly studied film at the University of Toledo before dropping out to pursue music.

Musical Career

Cudi began rapping in 2003, inspired by alternative hip-hop groups. In 2005, he moved to New York City with only $500 and a demo tape, living with his uncle and working in clothing stores. His breakthrough came with the song "Day 'n' Nite," which he initially self-published on MySpace. The track gained traction online, leading to his signing with Kanye West's GOOD Music label in late 2008. Cudi's debut album, "Man on the Moon: The End of Day," was released in 2009, followed by several successful projects, including "Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager" and "Indicud." His music blends genres, including alternative hip-hop, contemporary R&B, and emo rap, showcasing his introspective style and emotional depth.

Acting Career

In addition to music, Kid Cudi has ventured into acting. He made a guest appearance on the TV drama "One Tree Hill" and starred in the HBO series "How to Make It in America." He has also appeared in short films and indie movies, further expanding his artistic repertoire.
