Early Life

Louane Emera, born Anne Edwige Maria Peichert on November 26, 1996, in Sainte-Catherine, France, grew up in a large family in the Pas-de-Calais region, alongside her four sisters and brother Benoît. Her father, Jean-Pierre Peichert, was of French descent with Polish and German roots, while her mother, Isabel Pinto dos Santos, was Brazilian-Portuguese. Diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) at the age of eight, Louane faced challenges in her early years, particularly after losing both parents during her teenage years. Her heartfelt rendition of "Imagine" on The Voice was dedicated to her father, who passed away shortly before her appearance on the show.

Career

Louane's career took off in 2013 when she became a semi-finalist on the second season of "The Voice: la plus belle voix," captivating audiences with her powerful performances. Her debut album, "Chambre 12," released on March 2, 2015, achieved significant success, with the single "Avenir" topping the French charts. Louane's artistic journey continued to flourish as she collaborated with renowned artists, including providing vocals for The Chainsmokers' track "It Won't Kill Ya" in 2017. In 2025, she represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Maman," finishing seventh.

Personal Life

In her personal life, Louane is in a relationship with fellow singer Florian Rossi, and they welcomed their daughter, Esmée, in March 2020. Despite her early struggles, Louane has emerged as a prominent figure in the French music scene, recognized not only for her musical talent but also for her acting, having won a César Award for her role in the film "La Famille Bélier."
