Lucio Corsi

Early Life and Education

Lucio Corsi was born in 1993 in Grosseto, Italy, and grew up in a farmhouse in Val di Campo, near Vetulonia. His family operates a restaurant in Macchiascandona, and his mother, Nicoletta Rabiti, is a painter, while his father, Marco, has held various jobs, including as a RAI operator and bricklayer. Corsi's passion for music ignited at a young age after watching "The Blues Brothers" on television. He began composing songs early on and was initially influenced by the experimental sounds of Peter Gabriel-era Genesis. After graduating from the "Guglielmo Marconi" Scientific High School in Grosseto in 2012, he began performing in local venues.

Career

In pursuit of a music career, Corsi moved to Milan after graduation. He released his debut EP, "Vetulonia Dakar," on April 29, 2014, which showcased his unique blend of glam rock and surreal lyrics. His second EP, "Altalena Boy," was produced in collaboration with Federico Dragogna of the band Ministri. Corsi's debut album, a compilation of his EPs, was released on January 16, 2015, and received critical acclaim for its artistic style.

Corsi's first studio album, "Bestiario musicale," was released on January 27, 2017, featuring a fairy-tale theme with tracks dedicated to animals from his homeland. He gained further recognition by opening for notable artists like Baustelle and Brunori Sas, and even walked the runway for Gucci's Cruise 2018 campaign alongside Francesco Bianconi. Corsi continues to be a prominent figure in the Italian indie music scene, known for his whimsical storytelling and engaging performances.
