Early Life

Roseanne Park, known mononymously as Rosé, was born on February 11, 1997, in Auckland, New Zealand, to South Korean immigrant parents. At the age of seven, her family relocated to Melbourne, Australia, where she spent her formative years. Rosé developed a passion for music early on, learning to play the guitar and piano while performing in church choirs. She attended Kew East Primary School and later Canterbury Girls' Secondary College but dropped out before completing year 11 after signing with YG Entertainment.

Career

In 2012, Rosé auditioned for YG Entertainment in Sydney, encouraged by her father. Out of 700 participants, she secured the top spot, leading to her signing with the label as a trainee. Shortly after, she was featured on G-Dragon's song "Without You," which marked her first appearance in the music industry. Rosé rose to fame as a member of BLACKPINK, which debuted in August 2016 and quickly became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. In addition to her group activities, she has pursued a successful solo career, releasing singles such as "On the Ground" and "GONE," showcasing her unique vocal style that has earned her the nickname "the golden voice" among fans.

Artistic Development

Rosé's artistry is characterized by her distinct vocal timbre, described as an "electric" soprano. Critics have praised her ability to convey deep emotions through her music, with her husky tone adding depth to her performances.
