Vanessa Anne Hudgens was born on December 14, 1988, in Salinas, California. Raised in a family with a rich musical background, she was influenced by her parents, with her mother, Gina, being of Filipina descent and her father, Gregory, a firefighter of mostly English descent. Vanessa has a younger sister, Stella, who is also in the entertainment industry. Growing up, she was raised Catholic but later identified as a non-denominational Christian. Career

Hudgens began her career in musical theater, performing in various productions such as "The Wizard of Oz" and "Cinderella".
