Early Life

William James Adams Jr., known professionally as Will.i.am, was born on March 15, 1975, in Los Angeles, California. Raised by his mother, Debra, in the Estrada Courts housing projects of Boyle Heights, he grew up in a predominantly Hispanic community. His mother encouraged his individuality and musical aspirations, sending him to schools in more affluent areas. This early exposure to diverse musical influences shaped his artistic development. Career

Will.i.am's music career began in the early 1990s when he was part of a breakdancing crew called Tribal Nation. He later formed the group Atban Klann with fellow member Apl.de.Ap, which was signed to Eazy-E's Ruthless Records. After a series of name changes, they became the Black Eyed Peas in 1997, releasing their debut album, "Behind the Front," in 1998. The group achieved massive success with albums like "Elephunk" and "The E.N.D.," blending hip-hop, pop, and electronic dance music.
