Early Life

Jeon Jung-kook, known professionally as Jung Kook, was born on September 1, 1997, in Busan, South Korea. He grew up in a supportive family with his parents and an elder brother. Jung Kook attended Baekyang Elementary and Middle School in Busan before transferring to Singu Middle School in Seoul to pursue his dream of becoming an idol. His journey began in 2011 when he auditioned for the talent show Superstar K, receiving offers from seven entertainment companies. Ultimately, he chose to train under Big Hit Entertainment after being inspired by RM, a fellow member of BTS. To hone his dance skills, he traveled to Los Angeles in 2012 for training and made his first appearance in Jo Kwon's music video "I'm Da One."

Career

Jung Kook debuted as a member of BTS on June 12, 2013, with the single "2 Cool 4 Skool." As part of BTS, he has released several solo tracks, including "Begin," "Euphoria," and "My Time," all of which have charted on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart. His solo work showcases his growth as an artist, with "Euphoria" and "My Time" becoming notable hits on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. Jung Kook is also credited as a producer for BTS songs like "Love is Not Over" and "Magic Shop." His vocal talent has earned him recognition, with Rolling Stone ranking him among the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.
